Industrial manufacture makes efforts to surmount difficulties from early year

Although facing difficulties, the province’s industrial manufacture in the first two months of 2020 still continued reaching stable development. Particularly, the province’s index of industrial production (IIP) surged 2.31% compared to the same period last year.

Industries maintaining growth

Despites difficulties from Covid-19 epidemic disease, the province’s industrial manufacture continued growing up with the IIP up 2.31% against the corresponding period last year. Accordingly, mining industry rose by 2.385; manufacturing and processing by 2.19%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioners by 5.78%; water supply and waste, waste water treatment by 8.45% compared to the same period last year.

Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee said that over the past years, the province promulgated many major policies to lure FDI projects for the local economic development. The province mobilized all resources to form up and foster industrial parks, compounds at domestic and foreign enterprises ’requirements of production and business. In addition, the province made efforts in improving the local investment climate and upgrading infrastructure facilities in order to absorb more investors.

The province has given priority to luring hi-tech industries that are less labor intensive and more environmentally friendly. The province has also attached special importance to fostering auxiliary industries, taking part in the global value chain. This year, the province will continue hastening the progress of establishing and expanding hi-tech, auxiliary industrial parks…

In 2020, the province will strive to gain the growth of 10.1%, 19.9%, 15% in services, total retail sales revenue of goods-services; export turnover compared to 2019. The province will also concentrate on developing hi-quality services, logistics, e-business; tap traditional markets and potential ones for main export products.

Industrial manufacture with strong shift towards northern region

In recent years, the province’s industrial manufacture has got a strong shift towards the northern region. The birth of industrial park in the northern region of the province has absorbed tens of thousands of experts and laborers along with increasing demand for housing.

Ngo Trong Nghia, General Director of Dat Cuoc-KSB industrial park (IP) said that the Ip has attracted 64 projects with the rate of land tenancy at 99%. Tran Thu Minh Hanh, Vice-Chairwoman of North Tan Uyen district’s People’s Committee said that the total area of district-based industrial parks will be around 2,208 hectares. The motivation of the development is due to the local synchronous and modern traffic infrastructure system.

Whilst, To Van Dat, Vice-Chairman of Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee said that the district last year made planning for 5 industrial compounds with more than 300 hectares in total. The district has created the best conditions for enterprises to make investment under the law and in line with the local plan. The district will also continue supporting infrastructure investment, upholding the local advantages in terms of labor, land and natural resources.

The district is expected to absorb more industrial projects towards sustainable development; lure hi-tech projects that are less labor intensive and more environmentally friendly; develop industries in line with the local advantages in each period. Currently, the district continues calling for urban development and investment effectively in order to create the best conditions for services, thereby contributing to luring more investment projects, aiming to promote the local development.

It is known that Hung Hai Thinh Joint Stock Co. at the Tam Lap 1 industrial compound has put its semi-steel radial tire factory into operation, contributing to the local development. The factory’s products are exported into the U.S with the annual capacity of 4 million products…
