Over 280 million kWh of electricity saved

Provincial Steering Board of Electricity Saving and Safety, on February 16, held a conference to review its activities in 2016 and implement plan for 2017, which was presided over by Nguyen Van Huu, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade cum Deputy Head of the Steering Board.

Thanks to solutions realized in a synchronous way, the whole province saved 280.3million kWh of electricity or 149.32% of the plan. There were also 148 wrong cases on electricity grid safe corridors and 6 electricity incidents among people, down 4 compared to last year’s corresponding period…

At the conference, delegates suggested the local functional agencies to boost propaganda work in association with handling infringements on electricity grid safe corridors; have coordination in planting green trees towards urban beautiful looking and electricity safety. Agencies, sectors and enterprises in the province also need to comply with the Law on economical and efficient use of energy.

On this occasion, provincial People’s Committee also awarded the certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 16 individuals with excellent achievements in the local task of electricity safety and saving.
