Industrial manufacture, a spearheading industry of the province has continued obtaining impressive growth since early this year. In April alone, the province’s IIP rose by 9% and 12.85% against the previous month and the corresponding period last year, respectively. Of these, mining industry grew by 5.76%; manufacture-processing by 7.49%; production and distribution of power by 15.87%; water supply, waste and sewage treatment by 5.63%. Noticeably, the province had 22 out of 25 main industrial products with growth in comparison with the same period last year and there were up to 11 groups with the growth of over 7%.

Thus, over the past four months, the province continued being among the country’s top 10 provinces and cities in industrial growth. Among them, Thanh Hoa took the lead with 51.2% growth. It was followed by Hai Phong, Ha Tinh, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Dong Nai, Binh Duong…

To achieve the above result, the province made efforts in calling for hi-tech projects, especially large-scale ones to promote the local industrial, urban and hi-quality service development. Most FDI and domestic projects in the province focused on industrial manufacture over the past time. Upon this, the province’s industrial manufacture has continued obtaining in-depth development, contributing to boosting the local urban and service development.

Solutions for industrial sector to make breakthrough

Possibly speaking, the province’s industrial sector made great efforts to surmount obstacles and maintain growth over the past time. But, according to experts, the sector needs to try harder to be worthy of being a spearheading sector of the province while being developed in the right direction, thereby promoting the local urban, service and trading development.

As planned, in 2019, the province will bend on industrial manufacture and smart services while strengthening international connection. The province will also bring into full play cooperation opportunities with smart cities’ international organizations around the world; implement at least 3 projects with direct effectiveness on people and enterprises…

To gain the above targets, sectors and authorities at all levels of the province will carry out 11 key projects. Accordingly, they will promote smart logistics to absorb enterprises with high added values, promoting production; put focus on hi-quality human resources; develop sci-tech industrial parks; implement sustainable development programs pertaining to clean energy, environmental protection, waste treatment…; set up a hot line and a smart camera system for smart city…

Noticeably, the province will further organize international events, namely the Horasis meeting 2019, the annual contest on smart city initiatives…Accordingly, the Horasis meeting 2019 is expected to take place from November 24 to 25 in Binh Duong new city. This is one of international events making great impacts on the local industrial and service sectors in the near future. Hence, according to experts, the province’s industrial sector will reach great strides in the coming time, creating highlights on the industrial development map of the whole country.

Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee said that the province will continue well realizing the local project on restructuring of industrial sector, plan on cleaner industrial production. He has also asked for province-based enterprises to effectively use energy and input material resources, protect the environment towards sustainable development.

For industrial sector reaching in-depth development, the province will further give priority to auxiliary, spearheading, manufacturing and processing industries while improving the rate of the industrial localization. Especially, the province will bend on realizing the roadmap of developing industrial parks approved by the Government’s Prime Minister…
