Provincial leader receives delegation of Japanese Ministry of Infrastructure-Land-Transportation and Tourism

On the afternoon of July 14, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee and representatives of some sectors, departments in the province had a working session with Hiroshi Narahira, Deputy Minister of Japan’s Infrastructure-Land-Transportation and Tourism together with Japanese big corporations and embassy in Vietnam.

At the working session, Mr.Liem briefly informed the delegation of Binh Duong’s socio-economic development; investment cooperation between the province and Japanese businesses over the past years as well as projects funded by Japan in the province. Binh Duong has so far absorbed more than 170 Japanese-invested projects operating in the fields of electronic manufacture, health, education, especially urban development, traffic infrastructure…with a total investment capital of more than US$3.2billion…

Mr.Hiroshi Narahira spoke highly of Binh Duong’s urban development and planning while believing that this will be a model for other countries in the region to follow. He wants that Binh Duong and Japan will further boost cooperation in many aspects in the coming time.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Liem expressed his delight at Japanese businesses’ interest in the local investment climate. He also pledged to further create favorable conditions for Japanese businesses in the province to work stably and effectively.
