Provincial leader works with representative of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency

On the afternoon of March 12, Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received Piter de Jong, Financial Project Advisor from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency about implementing some programs funded by the Netherlands in the province.

At the reception, Mr.Piter de Jong informed the province of some programs funded by the Netherlands, namely Orio, Drive…The goal of the visit was to exchange with sectors and departments in the province to seek methods to be able to quickly implement support programs for waste collection and treatment projects in the province. Noticeably, the Drive program is worth EUR 750 million funded by the Netherlands towards 59 countries around the world, including Vietnam. He also expressed his desire of getting involved in water projects in the province while believing that the Drive program plus other support resources will help these projects be implemented well.

Mr.Dung said that Binh Duong now has a fully worked-out waste collection and treatment system. But, the province is under big pressure in waste treatment, due to increasing urbanization speed. Hence, the province needs support resources from the Netherlands in order to carry out more projects in this field. He also wanted that the sides need to have active cooperation to remove obstacles in the process of realizing support programs. The province will create favorable conditions for relevant projects to be implemented advantageously and effectively.
