Tan Hiep effectively takes solutions on economic development

Tan Hiep ward’s Party, government and people in Tan Uyen town have continued well upholding achievements done over the past time and redressed shortcomings, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.

The whole ward now has 419 hectares of faming land. The local farmers have bravely applied sci-tech advancements in the area, ensuring production efficiency.

Since early this year, the ward’s People’s Committee has coordinated with the town’s Vocational Training Center to open 2 classes on how to plant mushrooms and sprouts for 61 learners. In terms of animal husbandry, there are more than 90% of poultry and cattle bred by the local households with vaccination as stipulated.

Along with the local urbanization process and shift of plant and animal structure, many households have quickly changed to lodging business, services for enterprises…This has contributed to generating stable jobs for locals. The whole ward is now home to 706 lodging business households with thousands of various lodging rooms.

Nguyen Van Tum, Secretary of the ward’s People’s Committee said that the model of lodging business has not only helped locals change their economic structure, but also supplied accommodations for immigrant laborers, ensuring a stable workforce for enterprises. The ward has also well upheld its role in supporting locals to effectively manage business models. After many years of doing business effectively, many individual business households have developed into prestigious enterprises.

Absorbing more investors

So far, there have been 100% of the ward’s households in use of clean water. The ward has also fulfilled key works, contributing to reshaping the local urban image.

Since early this year, the ward has started construction of 6 roads of 1,699 meters with a total expense of VND4.9billion. Once being completed, they will facilitate locals and enterprises’ traveling and goods transportation. The ward is now also home to 1 cooperative that works stably and effectively with 6 members.

Thanks to infrastructure and order-security ensured, the ward-based enterprises have worked very effectively. Since early this year, the ward has absorbed additional 10 enterprises and 47 production-trading facilities. The ward is now to 116 companies,  19 production-trading facilities and 706 lodging business households.

For better development, the ward is speeding up administrative reform with such concrete solutions as reforming working style in association with realizing the model of “Friendly government of the people, by the people and for the people”, the Politburo’s Directive No.05 on “Acceleration of studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle” and the Government’s Resolution No.30 on overall State administrative reform program. Since early this year, the ward has received and dealt with 18,888 various documents as stipulated.
