VIFF 2019 opens

On November 27, Tran Thanh Liem, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee attended a ceremony to kick off the first Vietnam International Furniture Fair (VIFF 2019) at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre, which is co-held by Vietnam Administration of Forestry, Binh Dương Furniture Association (BIFA), Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre Joint Stock Company and Taiwan Furniture Manufacturers Association.

The VIFF 2019 gathers together more than 300 booths set up by local businesses and foreign ones from Taiwan, Japan, France, South Korea… It showcases bedroom furniture, dining sets, kitchen cabinets, flooring, sofa, office furniture, outdoor furniture, interior furnishings…

According to the organizers, the overall success of VIFF 2019 will help furniture manufacturers improve their visibility and brand in Vietnam, the region and the world; contribute to developing Vietnam into one of the world's leading countries in producing, processing and exporting wooden products and non-timber forest products with prestigious brands in the international market. It is known that Vietnam has around 4,700 wood manufacturing and processing enterprises. Its timber and forest products are exported to more than 120 countries and territories.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Mr.Liem said that the VIFF 2019 will be a good opportunity for enterprises in the woodworking industry to promote their products, share mutual experience, make linkage and sci-tech transfer for better development. The event will last until November 30.
