2019 provincial trade fair on typical agricultural products with practical activities

The 2019 provincial trade fair on typical agricultural products took place in Thuan An town from September 20 to 27, absorbing a large number of visitors. This was part of the 2019 provincial festival honoring outstanding farmers. Many contracts on production cooperation, sci-tech transfer between localities and enterprises were signed at the event.

Diverse commodities

At the trade fair, provincial Farmers’ Association coordinated with relevant units to feature a series of events on exchanging, introducing commodities…with more than 200 booths.

Customers at the trade fair

The trade fair attracted the Farmers’ Associations of districts, towns, TDM city, industries’ associations, enterprises in the province together with units and enterprises from Binh Phuoc, HCM city, Dong Thap, Dong Nai, Long An…This was also a chance for farmers to exchange and share experience in production-business, thereby promoting a chain of supply-demand, cooperation and consumption.

As surveyed, there was a diversification in terms of products on display at the trade fair from safe agricultural products to nurslings, fertilizer, typical rural industrial products…Especially, a section showcasing typical agricultural products from localities absorbed numerous visitors. The situation of security and order at the trade fair was also ensured.

Opportunity for trade exchange

According to the organizers, the trade fair was a chance for enterprises to exchange, share experience in production-business, boost coherence and improve their competitiveness while popularizing the local typical agricultural products.

Nguyen Thanh Kien, Director of Thanh Kien guava cooperation in Phu Giao district said that this was a playground for farmers to exchange and share experience in business-production, get access to sci-tech advancements in agriculture, thereby promoting a chain of supply-demand, cooperation in production and consumption of farmers in and out of the province.

The organized assessed that the 7-day trade fair was organized successfully. Reportedly, the trade fair absorbed around 20,000 visitors. But, participating enterprises’ revenue did not reach the set plan, due to the impacts of bad weather.

At the trade fair, trade exchange activities also took place very animatedly, contributing to the local trade promotion activities in agriculture while creating favorable opportunities for enterprises to expand their consumption market, boost production towards sustainable development.
