The 2nd Southeastern Festival for Young Pioneer Chiefs 2010 held by Binh Duong provincial Youth Union will official inaugurate at the local Cultural Center today. The festival running from Nov. 26-27 has lured the participation of nearly 300 delegates, 192 of whom are young pioneer chiefs from 7 provinces and cities of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Tay Ninh and HCMC.

At this festival, deputies will enjoy significant and plentiful activities and exchange with typical chiefs and enjoy games at Dai Nam Van Hien Paradise.

This festival is a big festive day of young pioneer chiefs and absorbs all level agencies’ attention on taking care and protecting teenagers.

Upholding the done achievements from the 1st Southeastern Festival for Young Pioneer Chiefs 2008 held at Tay Ninh province, activities for young pioneers across 7 Southern provinces and cities have showed encouraging changes. From real activities, many good models have been emerged.

In addition, the Southern provinces and cities have focused on steering and building works for children in remote areas, launching resolution on boosting games for children through mobilizations of “a helping hand for poor students”, “For poor children’s Tet”, “Charitable Rice Jar”, “For children” and so on. The entire Southern region has 5 district level entertainment areas, builds 2,500 youth works for children, holds trainings for over 3,600 young pioneer chiefs and grants scholarships to children of provinces and cities.

By efforts of “soul engineers”, the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneer Organization has affirmed its quality and role in training manpower for the country. More and more young pioneers have become good students, obedient nephews of Uncle Ho. The success is thanks to young pioneer chiefs. It is hoped that young pioneer chiefs will affirm their role in fostering talents for the country.
