366 million kWh of power saved province wide in 2023

On March 8, the Steering Committee for High-Voltage Power Grid Safety and Electricity Saving in the province held a year-end review for 2023 and outlined the direction for 2024.

According to the Steering Committee's assessment, the implementation of electricity saving in the province has been actively directed and implemented by various sectors and levels of government. Therefore, the electricity savings output in 2023 across the province is 366 million kWh, achieving 115.04% of the plan. The Binh Duong Power Company has contributed to the completion of electricity saving tasks through efforts to reduce energy losses in power distribution, such as renovating and upgrading power lines, replacing old public transformer stations. In 2023, the handling of violations of safety clearances for high-voltage power lines has been the focus of attention and coordination by various levels, sectors, People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities, in collaboration with the electricity sector to promptly address some cases of violations.

In 2024, the Steering Committee focuses on inspecting the safe and efficient use of electricity in production facilities according to regulations for key energy-consuming establishments; organizing energy management training for enterprises with high energy consumption; continuing to implement certain projects in the provincial plan for the National Program on Energy Efficiency and Conservation for 2021-2025; training for officials of districts, towns, cities, and communes, wards, and townships on the efficient and effective use of energy; promoting widespread dissemination and awareness among the general public, students, officials, civil servants, and employees about electricity saving consciousness and the use of energy-saving devices.
