Since early this year, provincial health sector has cooperated with individuals and organizations at home and abroad to provide free medical check-ups, medicine and gifts for 4,700 needy patients and policy beneficiary families with a total expense of nearly VND230mln.

The sector has also worked with the HMC city-based Cho Ray Hospital, the HCM city Medical Center and provincial Sponsoring Society for Poor Patients to provide free cataract surgeries for 196 needy patients; received 495 units of blood from the local humanitarian blood donation campaign.

 

Meanwhile, charitable kitchens at province-based hospitals have provided more than 15,000 meals and meal vouchers free of charge for needy patients with a total expense of more than VND91mln.
