4th Army Corps gets Ho Chi Minh Order

On July 18, 4th Army Corps High Command celebrated its 40th founding anniversary (July 20, 1974-2014) and received Ho Chi Minh Order for the fourth time. Le Thanh Hai, member of the Politburo cum secretary of Ho Chi Minh city party committee, Huynh Ngoc Son, vice chairman of the National Assembly, Senior lieutenant-general Ngo Xuan Lich, secretary of Central Party Committee cum head of the General Department of Politics of Vietnamese People's Army and Mai The Trung, secretary of Binh Duong provincial party committee cum head of the provincial National Assembly delegation participated in the solemn ceremony.

Over the past 40 years, cadres and soldiers of the 4th Army Corps have overcome numerous difficulties and cooperated closely with local authorities and armed forces to make up excellent feats. The 4th Army Corps affirmed its role effectively to contribute to victory of the anti-US resistance war and the national unity. In addition, the 4th Army Corps was a key force in protecting the Southwestern borders and helping Cambodia escape genocide. In the current period, in order to outstandingly complete tasks assigned by the Party and State and people, every cadre and soldier of the 4th Army Corps always promotes the tradition of "loyalty, solidarity, creation, independence" as well as actively cooperates with forces to fight against all plots and tricks of enemies. Addressing the ceremony, Senior lieutenant-general Ngo Xuan Lich, secretary of Central Party Committee cum head of the General Department of Politics of Vietnamese People's Army highly appreciated achievements done by the 4th Army Corps and stressed on role and responsibility of the 4th Army Corps. In the new period, the 4th Army Corps should coordinate closely with party committees, authorities and people of provinces and cities to build a strong force, contributing to the national defense as well as well implement mass mobilization work to build a long cement between army and people.
