Provincial People’s Council opens 12th session

Early July 17, provincial People’s Council convened its 12th session, in attendance of Mai The Trung, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly (NA) delegation together with provincial NA deputies, former provincial leaders and 60 provincial People’s Council deputies.

Addressing the session, Pham Van Canh, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council said that despite difficulties, the province over time strived to reach considerable results in the implementation of 2014’s socio-economic development goals. In the first half of the year, the province’s industrial manufacture continued going up. FDI attraction surpassed the yearly plan. State budget collection and spending reached good results compared to the forecast. The province also saw positive changes in socio-cultural fields, ensuring social welfare and improving people’s living standards.

On the first working day, the session put focus on the reports of the province’s socio-economic and cultural situation, national defence-security in the first half of the year and key tasks, measures for the rest of the year…

Le Thanh Cung, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee answered questions raised by People’s Council deputies and voters in the province. He also presented some measures to implement socio-economic development task for the remaining six months of the year and in the coming time.

Also on the first working day of the session, Mai Hung Dung, Director of provincial Department of Planning and Investment directly answered questions raised by participating deputies.

Today, July 18, the session continues questioning Director of provincial Department of Transport and approves its resolutions.
