A pupil overcomes difficulties to attend school

Nguyen Thieu Khang is a pupil of grade 6/1, Minh Hoa secondary school (Dau Tieng district), grew up in a underprivileged family without the love of a father. Ms. Phan Thi Suu, Khang’s mother, is now 53 years old, suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure but still has to work to bring up her son.  To reciprocate her expectation, Khang has been diligent and achieved outstanding learning results like: excellent learning results in 6 consecutive years, the first prize of English at district contest, the first prize of online Mathematics at district contest, B prize at district’s children painting contest, first prize of team leader contest, prize of provincial Ho Van Men young talent. Additionally, he is usually granted scholarships for poor good pupil. Teacher Du Thi Nghi commented: “Khang is a special student in terms of family circumstance and learning result. He is not only obedient, friendly, but also engage actively in school activities…”Khang said, he mostly studied by himself. He believed that good learning results come partially from intelligence, mainly from diligence. He has been worked hard and cultivated love of learning to become an excellent pupil.In the 2013-2014 school year, Khang will enter the 7th grade. He wishes he could become a physician to cure his mother’s illness and help poor people.
