Activities response to Vietnam Book Day

Provincial People’s Committee has instructed sectors, departments and localities to implement activities in response to the Vietnam Book Day (April 21).

As of now, sectors, departments in the province have organized talk shows introducing good books to readers while propagandizing activities to mark the Vietnam Book Day. The People’s Committees of districts have organized contests on books in association with activities of mass organizations; made dissemination of information of the Vietnam Book Day in association with the local political and cultural activities.

The above activities aim to honor the value of books, affirm their role in social life; build and develop reading culture in the community; honor readers and those who take part in the process of researching, composing, publishing and popularizing books. They also contribute to improving the responsibility of sectors, authorities at all levels and social organizations; mobilize all resources to promote the local reading culture.
