Celebrating the 74th anniversary of the traditional Student Day (January 9, 1950 - January 9, 2024), the 14th anniversary of Binh Duong provincial Students Association (January 8, 2010 - January 8, 2024), welcoming the success of the 11th National Congress of Vietnamese Students Association, tenure 2023-2028, on January 6, at Thu Dau Mot City Park, Provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee, Secretariat of Provincial Student Association hosted Students’ Week 2024 with buoyant and attractive activities.

Le Tuan Anh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of Provincial Student Association, said that to organize practical activities celebrating the 74th anniversary of Students’ Traditional Day, Provincial Youth Union and Provincial Student Association collaborated with some units to organize a variety of cultural and artistic activities; opened many useful and practical playgrounds to serve the cultural and spiritual life of students and people; improve the movement to build cultural life in the province.
At the same time, the activities demonstrate the concern and attention of all competent levels, branches and localities on the cultural and spiritual life of students; helps students of schools have an opportunity to interact, learn, exchange experience in studying, express themselves and foster social practice skills, career opportunities... Students’ Week also meets students' information demand about vocational training trends and future career orientations in the digital transformation period; arouses students' pride as participating in youth union and association organizations; creates a playground for students to propose solutions, ideas, and initiatives about programs and movements of youth union - association.
Organize response activities
As launching Students’ Week, Provincial Youth Union and Provincial Student Association have directed Youth Unions, Associations and HYPOs in the area to organize response activities at localities and units. At the provincial level, Students’ Week took place in three days January 6, 7 and 8, 2024 at Thu Dau Mot City Park, activities began at 8:00 a.m. and lasted to 9:00 p.m. daily.
Accordingly, on the first day (January 6), the opening ceremony of Students’ Week, Youth Book Fair, High School Student Festival, and Vocational Excellent Students took place; commended "three-good” students; awarded Doan Thi Lien Award, scholarships of study promotion fund and gave gifts to students having difficult circumstances on the occasion of the New Year. Here, Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee also coordinated with Tre Publishing House to organize Youth Book Fair. The book fair introduced books to students at preferential prices, along with games and exchange activities; opened psychological, health, culinary consulting booths, spaces decorated with apricot and peach blossoms on Tet holiday.
The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee also coordinated with People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City to invite agencies, units, and businesses to participate in free consultation booths on health, psychology, and culinary booths for young people and students. The same evening, a music exchange program also took place.
On January 7, a festival will take place for dance groups of high schools, vocational education - continuing education centers, and professional junior colleges in the province; with peach blossom decoration space for visitors to take photos; music exchange program, author exchange program; Music performance night between young bands and contestants who won high prizes at the 4th "Singing Competition for Students of Binh Duong Province" in 2023. In addition, there will also be a "Young Historian" contest and activities for union members and students to visit and experience booths and activities in the program.
