On Feb 15, provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs reported the situation of enterprises and workers after 2016 Tet to PPC.
Accordingly, up to Feb 15, according to statistics of provincial Industrial Parks’ Management Board, VSIP’s Management Board, Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs offices at districts, towns and city, approximately 88.5% enterprises operated again, 85% workers went back to work after Tet. Expectedly, by Feb 22, all enterprises in the province will have operated again.
Workers of Phu Xuan Company went back to work on the first day after Tet
The labor force of enterprises has no large fluctuations after Lunar New Year. Namely, Chi Hung Company (8,091/9,452) reached 87%; Shyang Hung Cheng Company (6,685/8,254) 91%; Poong Kook Company (2,810/3,000) 94%; Phu Xuan Company (3,200/3,500) 91%; Asti Electronic Company (900/1,100) 81%; RK Resourees Company (2,250/3,220) 70%; Samil Company (2,700/3,300) 82%... In particular, some enterprises got 100% employees going back to work after Tet, like: Thong Dung Company, Vietnam Interwood Company…
Reasons why all workers have not gone back to work is that most workers are migrant people from outside the province, difficult travelling and transport; some workers stay at their hometown and get new jobs. In addition to New Year holiday period prescribed by the State, some enterprises approved of their employees combining annual leave.
