Nguyen Huu Chi, Secretary of Bau Bang district’s Party Committee said that central and provincial policies have created favorable conditions for the locality to mobilize all resources for agricultural development. The district is bracing up the local farmsteads to apply hi-tech models. Effective models will be widely multiplied across the district.
Over the past time, the district also teamed up with credit organizations to provide farmers with loans to develop hi-tech agricultural models…Le Thanh Tam, Vice-Chairman of Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee said that the district coordinated with sectors, departments and mass organizations to mobilize many different loan resources for farmers to develop models and make the shift of plant and animal structure. In addition, the district now plans to set up the local People’s Credit Fund to support cooperative groups and cooperatives.
Accelerating coherence
To enhance the effectiveness of sci-tech transfer in agricultural production, Bau Bang district has strengthened the linkage between the State, scientists, businesses and farmers. Mr.Chi said that the linkage will promote the local agricultural production towards hi-tech models, consumption markets and on-site processing. All agricultural production areas of the district have applied VietGap and GlobalGap standards…
It is known that most mushroom farms in the district have so far reached VietGap standards, but they it difficult to find out a stable consumption market. Coherence is seen as a good way for them to solve this problem.
Mr.Tam added that apart from replicating effective hi-tech models, the district will boost trade promotion activities, seek partners; guide businesses to announce standards on goods quality and build up brand names for the local specific agricultural products…
The district is now home to 2 cooperatives on agricultural production, 6 cooperative groups on animal husbandry, 3 cooperative groups on agricultural production and 429 farmsteads. There are also 100% of farming land for perennial plants mechanized; over 80% of animal husbandry farmsteads with automatic feeding systems; more than 34% of poultry and 29% of livestock raised under hi-tech processes.
