Bau Bang focuses on propaganda, raising public awareness of traffic law enforcement

Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee, on March 12, held a conference to review the local task of ensuring traffic safety in 2018 and define orientations, tasks for 2019.

In 2018, a total of 53 traffic accidents occurred in the district, killing 25 people, injuring 56 others and damaging 104 various vehicles. The numbers represented an increase of 18 cases, 1 fatality and 28 injuries in comparison with 2017

In order to reach a decrease of 5%-10% in all criteria, in 2019, the district’s Traffic Safety Committee will coordinate with sectors, mass organizations to strengthen law dissemination, aiming to raise awareness of traffic safety among people from all strata, especially teenagers. Along with this, the local functional agencies will boost patrols to penalize wrong cases on traffic safety and urban order.

On this occasion, provincial People’s Committee and the district’s People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to outstanding collectives and individuals in ensuring the local traffic safety and order last year.
