Up to date, the launch, research, and grasping of resolutions of the 9th Provincial Party Congress and the 10th District’s Party Congress have been accomplished together with action plans build-up by executive board of local Party Committee.
As for economic targets under the mentioned resolution, it is projected that Ben Cat District will be built up as a sustainable developing industrial locality with average yearly growth at 21-23% which structures 76% of industry, 19% of services, and 1% of agriculture. Income per capita is projected to reach over VND 60 million a year with economic transition close to labor transition to lower 18% of rural labor.
The district is also projected to integrate economic growth into infrastructure investment, socio-economic development, national defense, environment protection, human resource development for the cause of industrialization and modernization.
So as to achieve the targeted aims, Ben Cat District has proposed measures to:
- Create and maintain a read investment environment;
- Diversify industrial development with strong orientation to export;
- Develop high-tech industry for industrialization and modernization;
- Boost up newly developed industrial parks;
- Develop aid-up industry;
- Promote handicraft villages to create jobs in rural areas.
Ben Cat District is also targeting for 19% growth of service and commerce with measures as follows:
- Diversifying services and commerce;
- Maintaining and developing commercial centers, supermarkets, and markets in highly populated areas including supplying system, retail system, and rural markets;
- Mobilizing all forces to develop and supply services of banking, tourism, and commerce.
As for agriculture, Ben Cat District proposed many measures to invest into high-tech agriculture development with eco-friendly products and technology transfer. The district has also been encouraging linked investment to collective economic models and plantations.
Moreover, Ben Cat District has also proposed measures to harmonize economic development with society and culture to dramatically transform education, medicine, science, and technology to improve cultural institutions and social policies and to continue poverty eradication as well as to create 10,000 to 15,000 jobs. As a matter of fact, the district’s Party Committee proposed 6 strategic projects including: education quality improvement, healthcare improvement, new rural area build-up, urban landscaping, political system improvement, and administrative reforms.
Meanwhile, the district’s Party Committee agreed upon 7 action plans to actually bring the resolutions into life.
