Ben Cat organizes 2nd voluntary blood donation stage of 2016

*Gifts given for outstanding blood donors in Di An

Early June 13, Ben Cat town’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation in collaboration with the HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center and the town’s Health Center held the second voluntary blood donation stage of 2016.

Ben Cat town’s voluntary blood donation campaign received enthusiastic response from members of the local mass organizations over the past years

The campaign absorbed 300 trade unionists, Youth Union members…with more than 200 units of blood given. Since early this year, the town has collected more than 450 units of blood.

*The same day, Di An town’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation held a delegation to visit and present gifts to outstanding families and individuals in the local voluntary blood donation campaign in response to the World Blood Donor Day (June 14).

The town’s Red Cross Society also donated 150 gifts worth VND45million to families and individuals with 5-10 times of voluntary blood donation. These significant gifts were funded by Buddhist nun Thich nu Huong Nhu, Head of Thien Quang pagoda in Dong Hoa ward.
