Binh Duong effectively implements support policies on agricultural development

Accordingly, since 2012, provincial People’s Committee has issued important support policies on urban and hi-tech agricultural models in association with processing industry. Some typical support policies are the Decision No.45/2012/QD-UBND dated October 16, 2012 on supporting preservation and development of special orchards in the 2013-2016 period; the Decision No.11/2014/QD-UBND dated April 8, 2014 on some support policies with application of the “Good Agricultural Practices” (GAP) standards in the local agro-forest and fisheries sector…

Upon the above decisions, many localities have effectively realized agricultural development policies. Particularly, Thuan An town supported VND4.25bln for farming households in wards of Binh Nham, Hung Dinh, An Thanh and An Son commune to buy fertilizer and dredge canals. Tan Uyen town and North Tan Uyen district provided 296 farming households with more than VND500mln to get involved in cultivation models. As of late 2014, the whole province had a total of 9 farms on cultivation and 6 ones on animal husbandry granted the VietGap certificates.
