Le Thanh Cung, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee made the statement at a meeting with Leow Siu Lin, Singaporean Consul General in HCM city on July 21.

At the meeting, Mr.Cung informed the Consul General about the province’s socio-economic development in the first half of 2014. Particularly, the province reached a GDP growth of 9.5% and absorbed more than US$1bln in FDI capital. The province also promoted cooperative relations with some localities in Holland and Italia.

The Consul General highly appreciated the province’s support activities  towards enterprises in Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP). The two leaders also exchanged some measures to ensure security in VSIP, support damaged enterprises in the recent incidents and urge insurance companies to quickly pay compensation for them.
