Early September 17, provincial Youth Union and Young Pioneer Organization organized a meeting with young voters ahead of the second mock session of the "Children's National Assembly (NA)" 2024.
The meeting was attended by Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Deputy Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of provincial People's Council; leaders from various departments, agencies and localities, as well as 50 young voters from districts and cities in the province.
At the meeting, representatives participating in the second "Children's NA” mock session reported to the voters on the topics they were trained on. They also presented reports on the issues of preventing school violence, creating a safe and healthy environment for children, combating the harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants in schools.
During the meeting, the young voters raised questions and made recommendations regarding these two issues. Their questions and suggestions were addressed and discussed by representatives from relevant sectors. On this occasion, provincial Youth Union's Standing Committee and Young Pioneer Organization presented gifts and encouraged the provincial delegation attending the second "Children's NA" mock session 2024.
The "Children's NA" mock session, organized by the Central Youth Union Secretariat in collaboration with the NA’s Committee for Culture and Education and the NA Office, will be held in Hanoi from September 27 to 29. This event aims at further promoting children's participation in issues concerning them. Nearly 300 children across the country will participate in the session, with 5 representatives from Binh Duong successfully passing the Central Young Pioneer Organization's interview rounds to become official delegates at the session.
