On May 31, the provincial People's Committee held an opening ceremony of Thu Dau Mot city waste water treatment plant with the participation of former State President Nguyen Minh Triet, the provincial party committee secretary Mai The Trung, deputy Construction Minister Cao Lai Quang and local cadres and leaders through stages. Nguyen Van Thien, general director of Binh Duong Water Supply and Environment Co.Ltd. (Biwase) said that a project of South Binh Duong water environment improvement invested by Biwase using ODA capital from Japan has a total capital of nearly VND2,000bil. This is the first work built in Binh Duong to collect and treat household waste water at Thu Dau Mot city with a capacity of 17,650m3 per day and night.Addressing at the ceremony, the provincial People's Committee vice chairman Tran Thanh Liem thanked Japanese Government and relevant agencies for their assistance and applauded investor, partners, suppliers' efforts for the work.
