Binh Duong proceeds to issue ‘vaccine passport’

Binh Duong provincial Department of Health has just sent a written request to Department of Foreign Affairs, Center for Disease Control, medical centers of districts, towns and cities and vaccination facilities to issue "vaccine passports" to people. The form and process for granting a "vaccine passport" shall comply with the guidance of Ministry of Health. Immunization establishments in the province carry out vaccination against COVID-19, and update vaccination information on the "COVID-19 Immunization Management Platform" in accordance with the regulations of Ministry of Health. Department of Foreign Affairs cooperates to deploy information about the form and process of issuing "Vaccine Passport" to entering foreigners or foreigners living and working in the province. Previously, the provincial People's Committee issued Official Letter No. 521/UBND-VX on "Vaccine Passport" and processing procedures for foreign experts and foreigners entering the province.

Also in the afternoon of February 17, Department of Health announced that the whole province recorded 79 new COVID-19 infection cases as 149 new patients were received for treatment, 244 recovered and 1 died out of a total of 22 critically ill patients need oxygen. Cumulatively during the 4th epidemic, the province recorded 293,356 infection cases of which 526,821 patients recovered (including positive rapid tests) and 3,404 patients died.
