3 consultancy units from France just reported Binh Duong urban planning to 2020 and vision 2030. Accordingly, consultancy units explained conditions of nature, socio-economy, infrastructure facility and environment to set out a premise of urban development based on regional relation, advantages of geographical position, land fund, population estimate and so on.

The space of urban development includes 4 measures of development based on current situation, development based on East-West axis, development in the Northern area and synchronous development. Infrastructure development orientation comprises external network, railway route, urban traffic, and public traffic, orientations on water supply, electricity, water drainage, and waste water treatment.

The provincial People’s Committee chairman Nguyen Hoang Son highly valued preparation of consultancy units and stressed on special significance and importance of Binh Duong urban planning to 2020 and vision 2030. He also noted that this was the first time the province heard about reports of consultancy units. The provincial chairman asked functional agencies to mull over for the sake of proper planning.
