The Buddha’s Birthday Festival 2011 in the province will be held with many rituals like previous years. The Representative Boards of provincial Buddhist Sangha will organize this event from May 9 to 22 (April 7-10 of lunar calendar).

It is expected that the Representative Board of TDM town’s Buddhist Sangha, in collaboration with provincial Buddhist Sangha, will kick of a program to celebrate Buddha’s birthday this year with many main activities, including a parade with flower-decorated trucks, a variety show in celebration of Buddha’s birthday on the evening on May 16 (April 14 of lunar calendar), a meeting on May 17 (April 15 of lunar calendar)... On this occasion, provincial Buddhist Sangha will also donate 100 gifts worth VND200,000 each to poor people.
