Building up Binh Duong to become green, clean and beautiful urban industrial city

On Dec 30, Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Chairman of PPC, presided at a meeting to approve the draft Binh Duong Urban Development Program in the 2016-2020 period presented by Department of Construction.

According to Department of Construction, provincial urban development objectives in 2016-2020 comprised: building up Binh Duong as a green, clean and beautiful urban city; one leading locality in the industrialization and modernization and international integration process; political, economic, socio-cultural and security-defense center, a traffic hub of the southern key economic zone and HCM City region; a civilized, modern city directly under the Central before 2020…

At the meeting, the participants asked for specification of development orientations, housing segments for low-income workers, poor people; urban development must be linked with environmental protection...

Concluding at the meeting, Mr. Liem appreciated the draft Binh Duong Urban Development Program in the 2016-2020 period. However, to carry out Provincial Party Committee’s action program on implementing the 10^th Provincial Party Resolution, public investment plan of 2016 and medium-term plan of 2016-2020, PPC asked agencies, sectors, localities in the province to send feedbacks on the draft to Department of Construction to complete the program.
