Businesses, laborers get eager to welcome Tet

Today, February 14 (December 26 of Lunar Calendar), province-based enterprises begin days off for the 2015 Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival. Despite difficulties, they last year obtained positive results in production and business while taking good care of laborers. Upon achievements done, many have set high growth targets in 2015.

The company’s export turnover was estimated at US$140mln, up 30% compared to 2013 or 10% of the province’s total export value of shoes. The company also created stable jobs for more than 10,200 laborers with the average income of VND7.25mln per capita per month…

Vison International Co.Ltd. at Thuan An town-based Vietnam Singapore 1 Industrial Park is a Taiwanese-owned business, specialized in manufacturing golf sticks and mechanical equipment with a total investment capital of US$11mln. The company last year reached a total revenue of US$40mln and generated stable jobs for 3,300 workers. Thanks to the attention of the local administration plus favorable investment climate, the company worked very effectively over the past time, according to company General Director Jimmy. With good business, it is likely to reach a total revenue of US$57mln under 2015’s plan.

Possibly speaking, the efforts by province-based enterprises in production and business contributed to helping the local targets in January 2015 further going up. The province’s industrial production value reached more than VND18.97bln, up 19.7% against last year’s same period. Export turnover was estimated at nearly US$1.94bln, up 17.7% compared to last year’s corresponding period…This is seen as a good sign for the production and business activities of province-based enterprises in 2015.

Giving care for laborers

Today, February 14, most enterprises in the province begin days off for Tet. Thanks to receiving good care from enterprises, laborers feel very joyful when taking days off for Tet.

Nearly 1,000 workers at the Japanese-invested Hoya Lens Vietnam Co.Ltd. at Vietnam Singapore 2 Industrial Park are preparing to enjoy Tet with a jubilant state of mind. Thanks to good business, the company has provided its staff withTet bonuses that are higher than in the previous year.

Le Duc Hung, Chairman of the company’s Trade Union said that the company has supported bus and train tickets for workers who return home for Tet so that they are able to come back to work after Tet as stipulated.

Around 2,500 workers at Binh Duong Garment One-Member Co.Ltd. are also jubilant to welcome Tet with the average bonus of VND8mln per person. In addition, the company has spent VND1.2bln on organizing trips to home for workers to celebrate Tet with their relatives.

This year, the province has paid more attention to taking care of laborers on Tet. Provincial Labor Union has provided free bus tickets for workers living from central Phu Yen province to Ha Noi to return home for Tet. The province has presented Tet gifts for workers who are not able to return home for Tet. Besides, mass organizations in the province have jointly organized cultural-sports activities in celebration of the lunar new year for workers living away from home…

With the above mentioned things, it is hoped that the business community and laborers in the province will enjoy a joyful Tet, creating faith and impetus for a new year with more successes.
