Connecting affection, building up a peaceful family, a happy society

In response to the National Action Month on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control 2022 and Vietnam Family Day (June 28), on June 25 and 26, the Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee coordinated with provincial People's Committee to organize a series of activities with the theme of "Peaceful family - Happy society" at provincial Convention and Exhibition Center. More than 1,000 delegates in the province and other neighboring localities participated in the event.

Animated festival

The “Vietnam Family Festival” 2022 took place with many outstanding and meaningful activities. Opening the series of activities was the "Start-up Women's Day" exhibition 2022, absorbing the participation of more than 15 booths of the Women's Union branches of 9 districts, towns and cities in the province with prestigious and quality traditional craft village products, products that meet the OCOP standards of enterprises, cooperative groups, cooperatives owned or managed by women who are producing and trading... The exhibition aimed at honoring innovative start-up ideas, products of members, creating a driving force to promote the women's start-up movement.

The Vietnam Women's Museum also held an exhibition themed "Peace after the storm" to record the stories and journeys of the Vietnam Women's Union in the implementation of the "Godmother" program. With three themes: "Suddenly one day", "A fulcrum for children" and "Strengthening the future", the exhibition brought a realistic perspective of children orphaned, due to the pandemic and their journey when receiving protection, and love from kind hearts through the implementation of the "Godmother" program.

In addition, the Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee also coordinated with relevant units to organize a series of "Healthy families" activities, including a workshop on smoke-free and healthy families; training courses on the prevention and control of harmful effects of tobacco, TB prevention and control... Also within the framework of this year's family festival, delegates also visited province-based handicraft production facilities, namely Dinh Hoa lacquerware production establishment, Tu Bon lacquerware production establishment, Phu An bamboo village...; participated in folk games, enjoyed bamboo village gastronomy.

Truong Thi Thu Thuy, Head of the Family - Social Affairs Department under the Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee said that the Vietnam Family Festival 2022 with many diverse and attractive cultural activities will be a useful destination in celebrating and honoring Vietnam Family Day, contributing to enhancing the community's responsibility in preserving and building a happy and prosperous Vietnamese family. This festival also create opportunities to exchange and share experiences in building a happy family, a cultural family towards the sustainable development of the family in the period of national industrialization and modernization and international integration.

Connecting family affection

At the Binh Duong New City World Trade Center, the Organization Committee of Vietnam Family Festival 2022 organized a series of recreational and experiential activities in response to Vietnam Family Day for the families of officials, members and workers in the province. The festival attracted 28 families with 2 activities, including cooking and funny family. The cooking competition with the theme of "Happy meal" had the participation of 10 families with diverse and attractive dishes. The fun family competition lured 18 participating families with special art performances and funny games.

The family of Nguyen Manh Hung and Phan Tieu Uyen in Di An city’s An Binh ward was honored to be among 28 cultural families of the province participating in this year's activities. Mrs. Uyen shared: “Participating in this year’s family festival is a really great and meaningful thing for my family. We always chase after work, so we have little time for each other. This is an opportunity for family members to have more time to get mutual understanding and coherency. For my family as well as for others at the festival, this will be a wonderful memory that not everyone has."

As for the family of Nguyen Tan Dai Sang and Nguyen Thi Truc Giang in North Tan Uyen district’s Tan Dinh commune, the joy was doubled when their family won the first prize in the cooking competition. “We are very happy that we have won the first prize in the cooking competition for the first time. I find this to be a very meaningful activity. In addition to having more joy, our family has the opportunity to get to know more families, have more friends to share experience about raising children, keeping the fire of marital happiness…”.

The recreational and experiential activities brought joy and memorable memories to the families participating in the festival as well as the spectators who came to cheer. Through these activities, people will feel more deeply about the strength of intimacy as well as the meaning and importance of family so that they can build a sustainable, happy, cultural and prosperous family together.

On the evening of June 26, the live television program "Godmother - love and share" taking place at provincial Convention and Exhibition Center was broadcast live on Binh Duong Radio and Television Station and a number of Radio - Television stations in the region. With the participation of nearly 800 delegates, the program was a forum for mother-child couples to meet, exchange and share while honoring collectives and individuals accompanying the program "Godmother"; inspired, continued to spreading in order to connect and mobilize officials, members, organizations and individuals to actively respond to this meaningful program.
