Nguyen Huu Chi, acting chairman of Ben Cat district’s People’s Committee and Eo Yoon Tae, head of Busan city’s Yeongdo district in the Republic of Korea (ROK) signed a cooperation agreement in the fields of economics, culture, science-technology, education-training, sports and tourism on April 18, 2011.

 This signing will boost the friendly relationship between the two localities as well as creating a more favorable investment environment for ROK businesses in Ben Cat district in the coming time.

 Ben Cat district is now home to 103 projects from ROK investors with a total investment capital of US$989mln. The ROK also ranks second among countries and territories investing in the district.

 On this occasion, Yeongdo district donated VND50mln to Ben Cat district’s Study Promotion Fund. Sung Huyn Vina Co. also presented VND100mln to the district’s Scholarship Fund for Poor Pupils.
