Dau Tieng turns off lights on 25 streets and in main areas in response to 2015 Earth Hour campaign

In response to the 2015 Earth Hour Campaign with the theme of “Saving energy, combating climate change”, Dau Tieng district has implemented an action of switching off lights on 25 streets and in main areas for one hour, from 20:30 to 21:30 pm on March 28.

The district has also called for enterprises and households to turn off non-essential electrical equipment for one hour on March 28 to save energy and protect the environment.

Earth Hour is a worldwide event for the planet organized by the World Wildlife Fund on the last Saturday in March. The 2014 Earth Hour campaign in Vietnam absorbed the participation of all 63 provinces and cities. According to statistics, Vietnam saved 431,000 kWH of power on Earth Hour in 2014.
