Department of Science and Technology to support start-up innovation

According to Department of Science and Technology, in 2020, this unit continues to enhance activities of Community Initiatives and Start-up Support Center, the project "Supporting the national innovation start-up ecosystem by 2025”. In addition, the department continues to carry out effectively tasks of developing S&T resources and human resources associated with training and retraining human resources through the performance of S&T tasks in the province; strengthening the association of research institutes and universities with enterprises, administrative departments and branches in order to order scientific research and technological development tasks in the province.

In 2019, Department of Science and Technology advised Provincial People's Committee to submit and issue 5 resolutions, 2 decisions and 2 plans on strengthening state management in the field of measurement of electricity meters and cold water meters at businesses and lodging houses in the province in the period of 2019-2020. In addition, the department assessed, accepted and handed over 9 scientific projects of many units. During the year, the department appraised and issued 61 licenses for conducting radiation work to 70 devices of 55 establishments using diagnostic radiological equipment in healthcare, bringing the total number of licensed establishments to 101 units with 210 devices.
