Diverse activities during the Workers’ Month

TDM city’s Labor Union has been proactive to organize a variety of activities to take care of workers’ spiritual and material lives during the Worker’ Month 2016, helping them keep their mind on work and have attachment with Binh Duong homeland.

Vibrant with market-day for workers

TDM city’s Labor Union and People’s Committee have just organized a market-day for workers at the precinct of provincial Volunteer Youth Squad.

TDM city’s Labor Union, Youth Union and Health Center jointly providing free medical check-ups and medicine for workers at Thong Dung Co.Ltd.

Coming to the market-day, workers had the chance to enjoy a special art performance and were sated with shopping. There was a wide range of products on display, comprising of clothing, shampoo, helmet, rice, cooking oil, TV, washing machine, refrigerator, cooker…

At the market-day, most products were offered discounts of 5% and above. Along with selling goods with preferential price plus a special art performance, the organizers also presented gifts from participating businesses to needy workers, helping them surmount difficulties and rise up in life.

Diverse activities

TDM city’s Labor Union has held plenty of activities to take care for workers’ spiritual and material lives in response to the Workers’ Month 2016 with the theme “Trade Unions accompany enterprises for the sake of workers’ lives and the local sustainable development”.

Particularly, meetings between workers, trade union officials and company directorates were organized. Kieu Anh Dung, Chairman of Phu Xuan Co.Ltd’s Trade Union said that the company’s directorate and Trade Union have attached special importance to dealing with workers’ queries via monthly meetings, aiming to create harmonious and stable labor relations.

During the Workers’Month, the city’s Labor Union has also got involved in many other significant activities, comprising of giving gifts for workers with difficult circumstances and those hit by workplace accidents; providing free medical check-ups and medicine for workers; organizing cooking contests; launching the “Well working, creatively working” emulation movement…Particularly, the city’s Labor Union presented 75 gifts worth VND500,000 each to workers with extremely difficult circumstances at a ceremony launching the Workers’ Month 2016 just held.

Nguyen Thi Gai, Chairwoman of TDM city’s Labor Union said that in response to the 2016 provincial Workers’ Month and Week, Trade Unions at all levels of the city have organized many practical activities to take care of workers’ spiritual and material lives. Especially, they have given timely support for workers with extremely difficult circumstances. All have contributed to building up harmonious relations between employees and employers.
