Economic stability on dairy cows

Update: 29-12-2012 | 00:00:00

With the ambition of breeding diary cows, Thiet managed to purchase 2 dairy cows to start his business. In the initial period, he encountered difficulties of shortage of capital and experience but till 2003 his dairy cow herd increased sharply. Unfortunately, decrease on milk price and price hike of input materials made breeders suffer losses.

“In the mid-2006, Vietnam milk market faced some difficulties and most of dairy cow breeders quitted their breeding but my family decided to maintain our dairy cow herds and until now our income stability is thanks to 18 dairy cows”.

On average, his dairy cow herd offers about 255kg of milk per day, equivalent to VND4mil. With the income, Thiet has overcome difficulties in economy.

At present, he has invested in increasing dairy cow herds. “In the recent years, thanks to dairy cows, our living has been improved, I intend to expand my breeding scale”, Thiet revealed.
