Efforts to maintain growth

Although facing many challenges, thanks to the efforts by the entire political system, people from all strata and the business community, the province’s socio-economic situation in the first eight months of 2024 has continued developing steadily in all aspects. Noticeably, the province’s industrial production, trade and services have maintained growth. The province’s export turnover has increased significantly compared to the same period, with a trade surplus reaching nearly US$6.5 billion.

To continue driving growth and achieving the set targets, the province's task from now until the end of the year is to focus on supporting enterprises in stabilizing production and business; strengthening the management of State budget revenue and expenditure, preventing tax evasion and arrears by various measures; accelerating the disbursement progress and improving the efficiency of public investment; paying attention to agricultural production restructuring and rural economic development in association with the construction of new-style rural areas while strengthening discipline, ensuring order in construction, management of land, resources and minerals; focusing on solutions for reducing traffic accidents and jams; ensuring environmental hygiene. In addition, departments, sectors, and localities need to review all tasks, targets and annual plans, focusing on drastic direction; implement measures to complete socio-economic development tasks; boost industrial production, trade promotion, export activities; pay attention to supporting and effectively implementing solutions to remove enterprises’ obstacles, enhance trade promotion and expand export markets. Furthermore, efforts should be intensified in monitoring and urging the disbursement of public investment as planned, expediting investment in and construction of key traffic projects such as building the belt roads 3, 4 in Ho Chi Minh city, expanding and upgrading National Highway 13, developing a system of roads and bridges in the province with regional connectivity...

To achieve the socio-economic development targets for 2024, greater efforts are required from the entire political system, people and the business community. In the remaining months of the year, departments, sectors and localities in the province must demonstrate a high level of determination, dynamism, creativity and proactiveness in proposing specific solutions to overcome difficulties, promote production and business activities, unlock all social resources, encourage startup and develop enterprises to create a strong change in economic growth, striving to achieve the highest completion of socio-economic tasks in 2024.
