Chot Dong hamlet office is funded local residents.

Chot Dong hamlet in Dau Tieng district’s An Lap commune is a rural area. 180 households’ life here remains difficulties. However, seeing a luxurious hamlet office, maybe everyone will think that the poor locality enjoys a preference from local authority. The communal chairman Phan Quang Minh, said the office was funded by local residents.

Earlier, the hamlet leaders had to borrow local residents’ houses to hold meetings. Therefore, the hamlet leaders urged local residents to raise funds for building the hamlet office. Within one month of collection, the entire hamlet collected VND38mil to buy land and build the hamlet office. The work is a proof of local residents’ confidence for leaders.

The communal chairman added that not only the hamlet office, but over 20km of rural roads worth about VND5.3bil was funded by local citizens. Annually, the commune publicizes its instructions of infrastructure facility, socio-economic development and budget collection and expenditure for local people. The most important thing is that local people learn clearly about collection and expenditure of mobilized funds as well as results of officials’ breach settlement. Besides, local leaders take charge of answering residents’ queries timely and rapidly.

Aside from the publicity at  meetings for the public, the communal office also publicizes administration procedures, fees and time of work settlement for individuals and organizations.

Besides, An Lap commune publicizes mobile phone number of the communal chairman for the public. The good deeds contribute to excel tasks proposed by the communal party committee.
