Get-together to celebrate the VPA’s 77th founding anniversary held

*Provincial leaders offer incense in memory of late President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs

On the afternoon of December 22, provincial Military Party Committee coordinated with Di An city’s Party Committee to hold a get-together to celebrate the 75^th National Resistance Day (December 19, 1946 - December 19, 2021), the 77^th founding  anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2021) and the 32^nd All-People Defense Festival (December 22, 1989 - December 22) at the Ho Lang revolutionary base relic and eco-tourism site in Di An city’s Tan Binh ward.

The event was attended by Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Pham Van Chanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Committee for Mass Mobilization, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; revolutionary veterans, heroes of the people's armed forces.

At the get-together, Mr. Minh reviewed the heroic history of the VPA. After 77 years of construction and, fighting, in any difficult circumstances, the VPA has always shown the stance of the revolutionary army, coming from the people, fighting for the people...He emphasized that as the core force in building the all-people national defense and defending the Fatherland, the army must show its firm stance, be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people, and make every effort to bring into play internal resources, further building a revolutionary, regular, elite, gradually modern VPA at requirements in the new period. Provincial armed forces have better advised provincial Party Committee, People's Committee and Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control on promptly deploying many solutions under the direction of the Government, Prime Minister, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control, contributing to the local socio-economic development and national defense tasks.

On this occasion, on behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Minh praised provincial armed forces and paid deep tribute to army units that supported Binh Duong to well perform Covid-19 prevention and control, joining hands with the locality in maintaining political security, social order and safety, bringing all activities back to the "new normal" state.

*On the morning of the same day, leaders of provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee together with leaders of departments and sectors visited and offered incense at provincial Martyrs' Cemetery on the occasion of the 75^th National Resistance Day, the 77^th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army and the 32^nd All-People Defense Festival.

In the solemn and emotional atmosphere of the ceremony, delegates offered flowers, burned incense to commemorate the great merits of late President Ho Chi Minh, heroes, martyrs and compatriots who sacrificed their lives for the national independence and unification. Following the heroic historical tradition of the nation, the Party, government and people of Binh Duong province have been trying their best to build up a more and more prosperous locality; continued taking care of the material and spiritual lives of the local policy beneficiaries.
