Get-together to mark Youth Union’s 88th founding anniversary held

Early March 20, provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee held a get-together to mark the 88^th founding anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931-March 26, 2019) and a festival for former Youth Union officials over periods.

The event was attended by Nguyen Minh Triet, former State President; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Hoang Thao, Vice-Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee; Tran Tue Hien, Permanent Vice-Secretary of Binh Phuoc provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Phuoc provincial People’s Council; Vo Van Minh, member of Binh Duong provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee; former provincial leaders and more than 500 Youth Union officials of Song Be-Binh Duong-Binh Phuoc over periods.

The program took place with such significant activities as offering incense, flower wreaths to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Vinh Loi War Zone Monument; organizing an art performance on “Pride of 88 years of the tradition of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union”; paying tribute to former Youth Union officials of Song Be-Binh Duong-Binh Phuoc over periods; awarding 5 mementoes “For young generation”; presenting prizes to outstanding Youth Union cadres; giving 20 scholarships worth VND2million each for Youth Union cadres’ offspring with good academic results in the 2018-2019 academic year; organizing exchange programs in celebration of the 88^th anniversary of the Youth Union…

On behalf of two Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc provinces’ leaders and young people, Mr.Liem sent deep thanks to participating delegates while memorizing confidential recommendations by old generations to build up more prosperous Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc. All previous contributions by Youth Union cadres over periods of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc will be a vigorous motivation for youths of the two localities to further emulate, innovate and excellently fulfill entrusted tasks.
