Early November 8, a delegation from the General Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, led by Deputy Director La Duc Dung, conducted a working session with Binh Duong province about adherence to meteorological and hydrological regulations in 2024. The meeting was attended by representatives from various departments, sectors and district-level People's Committees of the province.
At the working session, representatives from the General Department presented initial inspection results on compliance with meteorological and hydrological regulations in Binh Duong province. The delegates discussed and assessed achievements done by the province in the meteorology and hydrology sector for 2024.
On behalf of provincial People's Committee, leaders of provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment agreed in principle with the draft conclusions of the inspection delegation and indicated that in order to strengthen State management on meteorology and hydrology, the People’s Committees of districts and cities will incorporate climate change monitoring results into their local strategies, plans and management processes. Agencies involved in reviewing and appraising economic-social development programs must ensure the proper assessment of meteorological and hydrological data sources under regulations.
