In the first half of 2013, provincial Fund for the Poor donated nearly 2,000 gifts worth VND420mln to poor people across the province. Provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and their membership organizations also mobilized and presented 397,281 gifts to policy beneficiaries.

In addition, provincial Fund for the Poor spent VND30mln on providing free medical check-ups and medicine for policy beneficiary families and poor households in three communes of Tan Uyen district’s Tan Dinh, Phu Giao district’s An Long commune, Ba Tri district’s An Duc in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre; spent VND40mln on providing free medical check-ups and medicine for policy beneficiary families and poor households in Dau Tieng district’s Dinh Hiep commune, Phu Giao district’s An Binh commune and Di An town’s Tan Dong Hiep ward; supported VND200mln for Quang Tri provincial Fund for the Poor. Provincial Committee on Relief also donated VND100mln to Cao Bang province’s Natural Disaster Prevention and Support Fund.
