Police on June 4 activated a toll-free hotline number 1800 588 875 to receive reports on breaches of the environmental law and rules of wildlife protection.

According to the Department of Crime Police, the hotline is expected to become an effective tool to fight against environmental pollution and wildlife poaching and trafficking.

There's always staff on duty at the department to receive reports nationwide around the clock. 

Colonel Luong Minh Thao, Deputy Director of the Department of Crime Police, said the environmental policemen will use the hotline as a tool to raise findings, settlements against breaches of the environmental law and rules of wildlife protection.
