Hustle jingling Christmas

The New Year greeting atmosphere has been all around the corners of the province in recent days. The green and beautiful lawns, flower flags, and decorative lights can be found almost in every corner of Binh Duong Province, especially the localities of religious people wishing for a happy and blissful Christmas.

Busy for Christmas

New Year and Christmas greetings can be found in those days in almost every part of life. Notably is the colorful decorative flags, flowers, and the grass bed of God in churches and chapels of the province. At Phu Cuong Grand Church in Thu Dau Mot City, the preparation for Christmas has been urgently made. Aside from the grass bed retelling the birth of Jesus in a cave, lights and flowers have been hung from the 2 bell towers to the floor and two 20-m Xmas trees have been erected, featuring jubilant greeting season. Like many other years, before Christian rituals would be performances and shows retelling the night of Jesus birth where 3 kings are present.

A local is carefully decorating for Christmas

At the religious village of My Hao I in Phu My Ward of Thu Dau Mot City where over 90% of the population are Christians, the eagerness for and blissful welcoming of Christmas are present. The main gate of local church was decorated with golden flags and lights and flowers lead all the way decorated with star lanterns and grass beds to the church.

Ms. Monica Tran Thi Tuyet Nhung, a local of My Hao, talked about Christmas as the season of hope and the grand holiday for Christians like Tet.

“Christmas Eve, we shall pray for world peace and a prosperous nation where everyone can rejoice,” Nhung said.

Aside from Christmas atmosphere at the churches and religious villages, streets and shops have also been covered with Christmas trees and white painted branches for decoration. Decorative fixture shops offer plenty of commodities and fixtures including sparkling ribbons, Christmas trees, red ties, balls, and clothing for the season.

In Di An Town, the Christmas atmosphere is coming up. Surrounding the town market place and along Tran Hung Dao Street leading to Tan Quy Quarter of Dong Hoa Ward, Christmas is all around. Many merchants display their best commodities of Santa Claus, Christmas trees, lanterns, and decorative fixtures, etc. The National Highway 1K part in Tan Quy Quarter has been more active for Christmas. In almost every corner, Christmas decoration could be found.

A Christmas Tree for record

In Thu Dau Mot City, despite chill and fluttering rains, Christmas is joyful all the way. Touring the central areas of the City along CMT8 Street and Yersin Street, public recreational sites are full of holy night melodies. Local functional agencies have been engaged to activities of beautifying the streets to welcome Christmas and a happy New Year. Particularly, thousands of visitors would come to Thanh Le Cultural Theme Park to witness the highest Christmas Tree in Vietnam and share the Christmas season. The 36 m high and 14-m round Christmas Tree is decorated with colorful lights. The lighting effect system should work to create lively light effects. The rotating light on the top shall shine throughout the park area.

According to organizers, the event is a part of New Year welcoming events and determination of record for the highest Christmas Tree in Vietnam, lasting from December 20 to 31. Besides, at the event, people are aiming for another records of most people dressing as Santa Claus in Vietnam a time. The expected number is over 450 people for the record in a provincial city just accredited as the second rate urban area by the Prime Minister. The glory is to be upheld and the responsibility is to be treasured for building up a modern and civilized city out of Thu Dau Mot City.

The joyful religious population

At Lai Thieu Church in Thuan An Town, local people are busy preparing for Christmas in joyful melodies. Outside in the yards, children are playing while waiting for presents to be given away at Christmas Eve. Holding a present in hand, Dao Lam Truong, 14, from Phan Thiet said: “Those presents warm us up. We are so joyful and thankful.”

“They are so happy and so do I when seeing them waiting for Christmas,” said Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang, a teacher at a charity classroom in Lai Thieu Ward.

Along the streets in Thuan An Town, decorations have been beautifully made for a warm and happy season. Mr. Anthony Ha Van Minh of Lai Thieu Ward Church informed of 3 days of mediation, gifts presenting to people in difficult circumstances, and charity meals to 120 lonely elders and disable people. In the evening of December 23 would be shows welcoming Christmas and holy rituals on December 24 with more following up events in the evening of December 25 and after that.
