Binh Duong province has become one of the country’s top localities in urban and industrial development after 23 years of construction and development. In 2020, the province has continued setting targets with new expectations, improving its scale for sustainable development.
Targets for sustainable development
The overall objectives of the province in 2020 are to ensure stable growth; strengthen the shift of economic structure towards the growth of services; attach special importance to the quality of growth. The whole province will focus on improving the local investment climate, encourage innovative startup businesses; speed up the progress of construction of key works, promote urban development-services and bend on smart city development. In addition, the province will attach special importance to ensuring social welfare, enhancing the quality of human resources; promote science-technology as the foundation for economic growth; streamline the local apparatus, make administrative reform; ensure national defence-security, maintain social order and safety, effectively realize foreign affairs…
A glance of Vietnam-Singapore 1 industrial park
In 2020, the province will strive to reach a growth rate of 8.6%-8.8% in Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). The local economic structure will be 66.6% in industrial manufacture-construction, 23.1% in services, 2.5% in agro-forestry-fisheries and 7.8% in taxes on products less subsidies on products. The province’s index of industrial production will surge 9.55%. The average GRDP per capital will be around VND154.2million per year. The province’s export turnover will surge 15% while import value will grow by 15.5 compared to 2019. The local State budget collection will reach VND62.2trillion while State budget spending will be VND22.4trillion. The province’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services will increase by 19.9%. The province’s FDI attraction will see a growth of 15.5%. The province will also strive to generate jobs for 45,000 laborers with the rate of laborers trained at 80%...
With the above targets, it is expected that Binh Duong will continue gaining sustainable development, reaching and surpassing the Resolution of the 10th local Party congress for the 2015-2020 tenure towards building up a civilized and prosperous homeland.
Smart city building
Regarding solutions for sustainable development in 2020, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee said that the province will further concentrate on implementing tasks to improve the local investment climate, promote production-business and competitiveness; hasten the progress of establishing and expanding industrial parks, compounds; soon set up hi-tech and auxiliary industrial parks…The province will also soon promulgate policies and step by step turn industrial facilities in the southern region into ones in terms of trade, services and hi-tech industrial manufacture in line with the plan.
Moreover, the province will continue bringing into full play all resources for development investment in association with expanding socialization forms in investment; strive to fulfill works, projects under the 2016-2020 mid-tem plan, creating a motivation for socio-economic development; continue setting up a public investment plan for the 2021-2025 tenure. From now to year-end, sectors and localities must promote the progress of disbursement for works, projects under the 2019 public investment plan; tighten control over the progress of site clearance for key projects; be determined to fulfill works in celebration of Party congresses at all levels, including the 1,500-bed General Hospital, the monument of War Zone D…
Also according to Mr.Liem, the province will continue well realizing the local planning for the 2021-2030 period, vision to 2050; further carry out a project on smart city development; create favorable conditions for investors to soon implement the World Trade Center Binh Duong new city project, which is seen as a major project of the province in 2020 and the 2020-2025 period…
