It’s time for seasonal laborers

Demand increasing

According to the provincial Job Center, demand on labor recruitment in the days of the year-end has increasing sharply. At the job transaction fair held on Dec. 19, the participating businesses had a demand on recruiting over 12,500 people, 8,000 of whom are for seasonal jobs.

It is forecasted that this figure will rise in the upcoming Christmas festival and New Year and Lunar New Year 2013. Jobs such as sale, product introduction, market survey, gift granting and real estate are needed by enterprises.

Specifically, Pho Viet Company in Thuan Giao ward, Thuan An town is in need of 95 seasonal laborers and 5 skilled ones whilst Vina Pride Seafoods Co.Ltd. is in need of 200 seasonal laborers and Thien Khoi Company 100 seasonal workers…

Many incentives…

In order to attract laborers, some enterprises have presently set out incentive policies of income, working condition and so on. Some businesses are ready to recruit laborers without working experiences and offer training courses for them. Especially some others reduce their requirements of working conditions.

At Foster Electronics Co.Ltd., the company incentive policy includes assistance of main meal, 50% support of breakfast expense and among others.

According to the provincial Job Center, the number of businesses registering to recruit seasonal laborers increases sharply. “Our company is in dire need of numerous seasonal laborers but our efforts implemented at job centers and job fairs have yet to be satisfied”, a rep of a company said.

According to head of Job Introduction Division under the provincial Job Center, businesses’ demand on labor recruitment has increased sharply. Some companies are in dire need of a large number of seasonal laborers to work at supermarkets, fashion shops…

To ensure human resources supply for companies, the provincial Job Center has implemented many deeds such as organization of job fairs, online job floor…

In addition, the center has sent documents to universities, colleges and vocational schools to create a bridge between companies and laborers as well as develop employment opportunities for students.
