Land pricing quality and efficiency on continual improvements

On March 7, at Binh Duong provincial Politics Academy, Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the provincial Party Committee, Deputy Permanent Chairman of the provincial People's Committee attended a training conference on some contents related to Decree No. 12/2024/NĐ-CP dated February 5, 2024 of the Government as organized by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

Decree No. 12/2024/ NĐ-CP has some new points regarding valuation methods; provides more specific regulations on the conditions for applying land valuation methods; specifies additional factors affecting land prices in the comparison method; clearly stipulates the collection of information for land valuation; organizes the determination of specific land prices, in which the Government assigns localities to specify criteria for determining land prices.

In his statement made at the conference, Mr. Mai Hung Dung proposed that in the coming time, the leaders of departments, committees, sectors, district-level People's Committees, and commune-level People's Committees continue to improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the work of determining land prices; closely follow the directions and guidance of the Government, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Planning and Land Resources Development in the work of determining land prices. He also proposed that the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Finance, and other relevant departments, committees, and sectors continue to expedite the progress of determining and approving land prices in ongoing projects in order to promptly clear land, calculate land use fees, transfer land to investors for the implementation of projects and works in the province.
