Law on Immigration disseminated

Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee just held a conference on dissemination and education of Law on Immigration governing alien entry, residence, and exit in Vietnam approved by National Assembly on June 16, 2014. The law comes into force on January 01, 2015 overiding the Ordinance 2000 on alien entry, residence, and exit in Vietnam.

The law of 9 chapters and 55 articles is the first complete law in Vietnam governing immigration of aliens, State’s management and competence of local and central authorities. The dissemination and education of the law is to enhance the management of alien entry, residence, and exit in Vietnam, meeting the demands of administrative reforms and deeper international integration.
