Local IPI in 8 months up 8.85%

The province’s index of industrial production (IIP) in August grew by 7.31% compared to the previous month. Of these, mining industry saw an increase of 1.47%; manufacturing and processing industry rose by 7.4%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioners picked up 0.82%; water supply and sewage treatment up 6.43%.

According to provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the province’s IIP over the past eight months reached a year-on-year increase of 8.85%. Of these, mining industry rose up 6.5%; manufacturing and processing industry, 8.84%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioners, 9.46%; water supply and sewage treatment, 13.99%.
