Update: 26-02-2015 | 11:05:54

Nguyen Huu Chi (standing), secretary of Bau Bang district party committee reports situation before, during and after Tet for local leaders.

To assess situation before, during and after Tet holiday 2015 as well as carry out some key tasks for 2015, the provincial People’s Committee delegation led by Tran Van Nam, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee on Feb. 25 paid a working visit to districts of North Tan Uyen, Bau Bang, Phu Giao and Tan Uyen town.

Welcoming Tet safely and thriftily

In Tan Uyen town, the delegation heard report of Tan Uyen town People’s Committee. Tan Uyen town has strengthened urban rejuvenation and held some activities of culture and sport for local residents on Tet holiday. In addition, Tan Uyen town has well implemented supportive work for privileged people on the past Tet holiday.

Despite new separation, new districts of Bau Bang and North Tan Uyen have made greater efforts to help local people enjoy a happy and warm Tet holiday. In North Tan Uyen district, the delegation members heard reports on Tet situation in the locality. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2015, North Tan Uyen granted gifts to 2,247 privileged people and more than 2,000 social subjects with the total value of VND4.7bil. In addition, the district and commune mobilized to grant 3,307 gifts worth VND1.12bil to privileged people.

Meanwhile, Bau Bang district organized gift visits to contributors, poor people, orphans and underprivileged workers with the total value of VND6.3bil, over VND1bil of which was mobilized by the local administration. Drastic implementation of task 2015

Across districts and towns under inspection, Tran Van Nam, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee noted that localities should soon perfect preparation work for the coming party congress and map out plans for socio-economic development to contribute to local development in particular and the provincial growth in general. Accordingly, these localities should carry drastically out key goals and tasks for 2015 and the following years.

In Tan Uyen town, the provincial People’s Committee chairman said that this locality should spur development of traffic network to link with other localities and Dong Nai province. In addition, the town should pay more attention to build new rural areas.

As for North Tan Uyen district, the provincial People’s Committee chairman noted that this locality should soon perfect building of district administration center. In addition, expansion of Dat Cuoc industrial park should be carried out rapidly to lure foreign investment projects. The provincial administration specifies that North Tan Uyen and Phu Giao are 2 key districts of developing hi-tech agriculture. Accordingly, citrus tree growing areas will be based on North Tan Uyen, promising improvement of income and increase on efficiency of using productive land for local farmers.

Like North Tan Uyen, developing new administration center is very important for Bau Bang district. Therefore, aside from the provincial leaders’ profound attention, Bau Bang district administration should make efforts to overcome difficulties for the sake of turning the locality into an industrial district.

Overall, after grasping situation in Tan Uyen town, districts of Bau Bang, Phu Giao, North Tan Uyen, Tran Van Nam, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee said that administration and people made greater efforts to bring a warm and happy Tet holiday. Especially, localities should ensure safety for the coming feast for Ram Thang Gieng (15th day of the first lunar month). Furthermore, districts and towns should urgently launch and carry out important tasks for 2015.
